She rose to fame in the late 1990’s thanks to her part in “Destiny’s Child” and, even after the group broke up, Kelly Rowland went on to find her own fame.

With more than 10 years of working with Columbia Records, Ms Rowland did just that, as she made a name for herself as a solo artist.

However, it was recently announced that the singer will be parting ways with Columbia and pursuing her career in other ways.

Of the decision, she says, “As a solo artist, I felt the need to explore new directions, new challenges, and new freedoms outside my comfort zone and my friends and family at Columbia have been incredibly understanding about my evolution.”

Some reports say that the split is amicable, while others are saying the R&B singer has been dropped by Columbia Records, declaring her “no longer commercially viable.”

He’s definitely one of the hottest dads in Hollywood, and in a recent interview on the “Rachel Ray” show Matthew McConaughey conveyed that he loves taking his 8-month-old son Levi with him wherever he goes.

The “Fool’s Gold” stud revealed on the Rachel Ray show, “Levi is doing well, man. Five stamps on the passport.  Check this out, perfect tank of gas before he wakes up and is ready to eat. So as soon as it gets below a quarter of a tank and I gotta pull off to get gas, Levi’s waking up. So far so good. We’re having a good time - he’s an easy traveler.”

Matthew also dished on what he’d like to pursue as a career if he wasn’t an actor.  “I think I’d either want to coach a college program, football.  Or go off and do like what Steve Irwin did. Or be a chef.”

As for his cooking style, “A lot of times we’ll make a pasta, and we’ll make a salad, and we’ll make a meat dish.  We end up putting pasta on the bottom because of the heat and layer in the salad and the meat on top. I love merging like that.”

She’s no stranger to diversifying her career, and now it seems Nicole Richie is ready to try yet another avenue of merchandising- shoe design.

According to a report, the “Simple Life” cutie has signed a development deal to launch her own line of footwear, adding to her successes in the headband and jewelry realms.

Nicole will partner with Modern Vintage shoes and Earnest Sewn jeans to come up with around 20 different shoe styles to be released under her Hous of Harlow 1960 label.

An inside source told press, “Nicole is designing everything herself.  She’s totally devoted to this, and we’re creating a whole lifestyle around her aesthetic and what is true to her.”

But if you’re chomping at the bit for a pair of her new shoes, don’t hold your breath- they won’t be hitting stores until spring of 2010.

Beginning another work day in New York City, Jennifer Aniston was spotted arriving on the set of “The Baster” this morning (March 31).

The “Good Girl” actress was flanked by security guards as she made her entrance, sporting a massive grey scarf with a black wool coat and jeans with sneakers.

And it sounds like “The Baster” is showing some commercial promise already- Miramax Films has reportedly picked up the US rights to the film from Mandate Pictures.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Miss Aniston is exhibiting a bit of diva-esque behavior.  An inside source told press, “Jen refused to walk even a step outside the restaurant during the break for lunch.  She had her car pull up right next to the restaurant so she could be driven less than a block to her trailer to avoid photographers.”

She’s been hanging out in Malawi since Sunday along with her kids David Banda and Lourdes, and today Madonna released a statement via her rep Liz Rosenberg that confirmed her plans to adopt another child.

Rosenberg told press, “I can officially confirm that Madonna has filed an application to adopt Mercy James, a three-year-old girl she met at an orphanage she visited two years ago on a previous trip to Malawi.”

In the statement, Rosenberg was also careful to include that Madge is “following all required procedures and is waiting for the judge to hopefully grant adoption by Friday,” in an attempt to rebut speculation that she is using her fame to side-step the proper route.

In a Malawian court hearing yesterday, Madonna was told to come back Friday, as the court wasn’t ready to act on the adoption application.

She’s no stranger to promotional press, and last night Lauren Conrad was all about drumming up interest in Season Five of “The Hills.”

The reality cutie made her way over to the Masonic Temple in Toronto, Canada to appear on “Live with Lauren! The Hills Season 5 Preview” during which she fielded questions while looking fine in a sexy black minidress.

And the personal appearance comes at an exciting time, as the brand new season (and LC’s last) hits the airwaves April 6th at 10pm on MTV.

As for her fashion design franchise, it sounds like Lauren will be taking some time off “to re-work her still-budding line.  She will look over the past season to determine what worked and what didn’t work so that she may design clothing that will appeal to her fans.”

Thanks to her active lifestyle she always looks perfect in a bikini, and yesterday (March 30) Audrina Patridge was spotted getting physical in Los Angeles.

The “Hills” hottie looked to be having a marvelous time as she tried out Reebok’s New Jukari Fit to Fly at the Jukari Fit to Fly Studio, sporting a red tank top, black stretch Capris, and black sneakers.

In related news it seems Miss Patridge has reunited with ex-boyfriend Justin “Bobby” Brescia, though the reunion is only for the cameras of “The Hills.”

A source explained, “They filmed scenes where Audrina is upset that Justin is seeing other girls, but it’s totally made up.  They broke up at the end of last year and didn’t and haven’t been spending any time together at all. The show is having them hang out because they can’t come up with any more story lines.”

Taking a break from the Vancouver set of “New Moon,” Ashley Greene was spotted chilling out at the H.Wood Lounge in West Hollywood last night (March 30).

The “Twilight” cutie was looking sexy as she flashed a peace sign at the paparazzi, sporting a red and black plaid shirt with black jeans and black shoes.

In a recent interview, Miss Greene discussed her newfound fame, and confessed that the best part of being famous is the awesome fans.

She revealed, “I think I’ve been very lucky as far as the fans have been very gracious and very nice to me and it’s amazing. We’ve had an event that a couple of us went to a few days back and the fans were there and they’re just so excited and especially now we’ve been cast and transformed...they say ‘I love you Alice.’”

It’s no secret that celebrities love their dogs. And Jennifer Hudson is taking this love one step further by having her three furry friends at her wedding.

Although the date of the nuptials has not been released as of yet, the singer plans to marry Harvard Law grad and reality show star, David Otunga, and her three dog’s, Oscar, Grammy and Dreamgirl will be a part of the ceremony.

Hudson tells, “Oscar might be the ring bearer.  We’ll send them down the aisle with a little tux or something, a little dress.”

The “American Idol” star also says she’s planning to design her own wedding dress, which she describes as “definitely classic, more traditional than anything.”
