It’s finally happening- “Sex and the City 2” began filming today (September 1) in New York City and none other than Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted reporting for duty.

The “Failure to Launch” babe looked lovely as she strolled around the Manhattan set, sporting a white dress with animal print heels and a super-voluminous hairdo.

“Sex and the City2” comes after a massively successful “Sex and the City: The Movie” which gave fans a chance to see what their four favorite ladies had been up to since the HBO series ended.

And all of the usual suspects will return in the new flick, scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on May 28th, 2010.

Continuing on her promotional trail, Rumer Willis was spotted arriving at “The Late Show with David Letterman” for an interview yesterday (August 31).

The “House Bunny” babe looked lovely as she made her way inside the Ed Sullivan Theatre, sporting a brilliant white dress with black heels.

And while she’s definitely turning heads with her fit form, Rumer recently told press that she believes women should be comfortable in their own skin.

“The stars out there now, they don’t need to be stick-skinny to the point you can see their bones through your skin. It’s not a good look.”

“You don’t need to be like that to be beautiful or perfect or to fit in.  What you are is exactly what you should be. You can’t let other people dictate your life or tell you how to feel about yourself because then you’re not living.”

Katy Perry has some beef with Simon Cowell. The singer, who was a guest on American Idol with the harsh judge, wants to imitate the music tycoon’s tough critiques when she stars on the FOX show.

“I might become a little bit of a buddy with Simon, because whenever I watch that show, as much as he’s an a**hole, he’s a very truthful, honest a**hole,” Perry said.

But Perry knows where Cowell is coming from. “I’m not there to build them up. It’s weird, because I don’t want to break their hearts, but everyone knows someone who’s been doing karaoke and doing little gigs here and there, and nobody has told them that they can’t sing on pitch for, like, 15 years? And you’re like, ‘Someone needs to say something.’ And, unfortunately, I might be that gal, to tell you the truth. I always have been.”

The “Kissed a Girl” songstress also recently spilled that she used to pray to God for big boobs.

“I remember really vividly kneeling by my bed as a nine-year-old, saying my prayers and asking God to give me boobs that were so big that if I laid on my back, I wouldn’t be able to see my feet,” she said. “Eventually, that request was granted. A bit of divine intervention displays the power of prayer.”

So how does Perry make sure she won’t have any wardrobe malfunction? “Every time before I go on stage, or go out where I know there will be a lot of Press, I take a skipping rope and spend about 10 minutes, fully clothed, skipping. I look like Rocky. This way, I can ensure that everything is firmly in place and I won’t have a wardrobe malfunction. Don’t want those boulders doing a show of their own.”

Sometimes celebrities need to just unplug and have some fun and yesterday (August 31) Rihanna was spotted doing just that.

The “Take a Bow” songstress looked to be having a marvelous time as she spent the day at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California.

During her time at the amusement park, Ri-Ri gradually worked up the courage to give it a go on Tatsu, one of the craziest roller coasters on the planet.

The Tatsu is made up of 3,602 feet of blazing track and reaches speeds of up to 62 miles per hour on 263-foot plunges.

Never shy with her words, Lily Allen isn’t afraid to share that her sex life is what keeps her in shape.

The singer, who recently revealed that she and Sam Cooper are an item, says that her sexual activity keeps her from having to go to the gym.

But there may be something else that is helping her keep slim - touring.

“Spending that amount of time jumping up and down on stage… I get exercise in other ways as well, working certain muscles you don’t usually work.”

The 24 year-old is also a Twitter addict. “My boyfriend gets really, really angry with me because he’s just like ‘I just want to spend some time with you, do we have to have one and a half million people in the room with us at one time?’” she said. “I’m like ‘Yes, shut up.”‘

Treating herself to a personal pampering session, Brenda Song was spotted at the Napoleon Perdis salon in Hollywood yesterday (August 31).

The Disney darling flirted it up with fans and paparazzi, showing off her new extended faux eyelashes and picture perfect makeup.

And of course Miss Song exuded perfection in the wardrobe department as well, sporting a playful black dress teamed with a pair of beige peep-toe heels.

Brenda has been working tirelessly on the new season of “The Suite Life on Deck,” which premieres on the Disney Channel on Friday, September 25th.

Making the most of her time in the Middle East, Madonna was spotted having dinner with Israeli politician Tzipi Livin in Tel Aviv last night (August 31).

The “Like a Virgin” songstress was surrounded by fans and paparazzi as she made her exit with boy toy Jesus Luz following close behind.

Madge has been enjoying her time in Israel ahead of her concert dates in the Holy Land later this week which will conclude her Sticky and Sweet world tour.

Madonna was escorted by police on a sightseeing tour of Jerusalem’s Old City yesterday where she saw many significant Jewish sites that are relevant to her Kabbalah faith.

In a new spoof, a Hailey lookalike pleads with the world for a new man, saying, “I’m looking for someone who’s half-Asian, kinda chubs, with hair plugs.  Someone who likes Ed Hardy thongs, chain smoking Virginia Slims and white chicks who wear their trucker hats to the side. You know, like a gangsta.”

Out running the day’s errands, Whitney Port was spotted walking through the West Village of New York City of Momday afternoon (August 31).

The MTV reality starlet seemed to be enjoying time away from work, chatting on her phone while dressed casually in a ripped top with blue tights and sneakers.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old recently revealed that she has a bit of a crush on Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling.

Miss Port tells, “I think he’s super-talented and really sexy. I like them pretty simple. A t-shirt, jeans and sneakers is fine by me. I don’t need the guy to care much about what he wears.”

Finishing out their romantic French getaway, Geri Halliwell and boyfriend Henry Beckwith were spotted living it up on a yacht in St. Jean Cap Ferrat yesterday (August 31).

The former Spice Girl provided plenty of eye candy, as usual, in her slinky white two-piece bikini as the nearby paparazzi looked on.

On the last day of their vacation, Geri and Henry enjoyed a swim in the sea before meeting up for drinks with friends at La Paloma restaurant.

And though it has been a great time for them both, Geri’s daughter Bluebell is certainly missing her mommy and anxiously awaiting her return.
