Ever since he blasted onto the popular culture scene thanks to “American Idol,” Adam Lambert has been a household name. But when it came time to record his debut album, he says he experienced an identity crisis.
The “For Your Entertainment” singer, who dropped jaws with his risqué performance on the American Music Awards, says he had a hard time defining his sound right off the bat.
He explained, “For a second there, I was like, ‘Wait a minute?’ Right after ‘Idol’ [I didn’t know what to do] because that’s when we started planning the album. And I was just like I don’t really know what direction I need to go in. I don’t know if I should be doing straight-up rock music because I got a lot of my cred on ‘Idol’ doing ‘70s rock, or if I should be doing the electro-pop dance stuff that I love, that I listen to now. I couldn’t decide: Do I do what I love to listen to or what I’m best at or what am I best at?”
Lambert continued, “It was a moment of kind of tossing it around and then I thought to myself, ‘Why not throw it all together in a big melting pot and come up with my own thing?’ So that’s what we did. It came to me and I was like, ‘Alright, that’s what we should do.’ And I was also heavily assisted by my management and RCA, I bounced ideas off of them. It was a team effort, for sure.”
Kicking off her week with a promotional appearance, Danica Patrick was spotted at ABC Studios for “Good Morning America” earlier today (November 30).
The IndyCar babe looked sleek and sexy as she posed for pictures, sporting a black leather jacket with a pair of black slim fit trousers and black heels.

In addition, she’ll also remain a part-time driver for JR Motorsports in NASCAR’s Nationwide Series coming up in 2010.
She’s spent much of her life in the limelight due to her parents’ political careers, and now Chelsea Clinton has announced she’s engaged to be married.
The former First Daughter is betrothed to longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky and this past Friday they sent out an email to friends to share the news.
They wrote, “We’re sorry for the mass email but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn’t get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc.”
The newly-engaged couple has been close since they were teenagers when their parents worked in Washington DC together. From there they both attended Stanford University.

A source tells, “They stayed in their own villa. They were shacked up together all weekend.”
She’s still on top of her game at age 40 and Helena Christensen says she’s happy to bare all for photo shoots as she’s proud of her body.
In a recent interview, Miss Christensen explained that being nude isn’t a big deal for her and she wishes people would just ‘get over it.’
“I’m Danish. Everyone’s naked on the beaches. We don’t really give a s**t. I love breasts. I love the female shape. It’s crazy – you can have movie posters with men with machine guns but, oh, God forbid you show the nipples! That never ceases to amaze me.”
She continued, “It’s flabbergasting. I can understand if you have your legs spread and you’re pushing yourself into the camera – that’s sexually erotic. But the sensual contours in the male or female shape? Come on, guys, relax.”
Kicking off her week with a leisurely stroll, Kate Winslet was spotted out and about in the West Village neighborhood of New York City this morning (November 30).

As the case between Jennifer Lopez and her ex-husband Ojani Noa continues, J. Lo’s lawman says he’s prepared to tear it up in court tomorrow.
Jay Lavely told press he’ll be aiming for the jugular when he confronts Noa’s legal counsel Ed Meyer in court tomorrow.
“Mr. Meyer’s attempt to romanticize his threatened unlawful conduct and turn it into a Jimmy Stewart movie does not make his conduct any less illegal or make him any less culpable.”
Meyer has threatened to enter private videos of Lopez and Noa into public record, though Lavely pointed out that doing so would violate a Temporary Restraining Order Lopez obtained back on November 10th.
In addition, Meyer has threatened to sue Lopez for $100 million in response to her $10 million lawsuit against Noa.
Doing her best to separate herself from rumors of an affair with Tiger Woods, Rachel Uchitel is taking all of the necessary steps to make the situation as painless as possible.
“I did not have any involvement with him [Woods],” Miss Uchitel, who was spotted at LAX Airport on Sunday, told E! News. “Whatever was written in the Enquirer was not said by me, it was said by two people that claimed they were friends of mine, but they’re not.”
Rachel, who is a New York nightclub manager, continued: “I am overwhelmed, so I hired Gloria Allred to handle the situation. I don’t want to get this much attention, and I wish everybody would leave me alone.”
And while she’s denying any intimate happenings, a friend admits that it wouldn’t be out of her character, saying, “She is a fun party girl; she was definitely into celebrities. She’s into being around famous people. Her job was to rack up VIP clientele. She is a flirtatious girl.”
Taking care of his fatherly responsibilities, Ben Affleck was spotted picking up his daughter Violet from her Santa Monica school yesterday (November 29).

Jen enjoyed a much-needed pampering session at the celebrity-friendly spot, emerging with a hip new coif.

Leona has been working overtime to promote her latest album “Echo,” which released worldwide earlier this month. And according to producer/songwriter Ryan Tedder, she’s continually growing in her songwriting.
“Leona’s still learning as a writer, but she has some definite God-given talent. To some degree she’s my muse. All that matters to us is putting really meaningful lyrics with really meaningful melodies. When she sings a song, you know you’re going to be hearing it 10, 15 years from now at weddings.”
